Simmons Pet Food Makes Pet Food Processing Cover

Check out the March issue of Pet Food Processing to see several familiar faces from our Pet Food team and our wonderful team in Emporia. The issue features our recent and upcoming expansion news for Simmons Pet Food, as well as a detailed look into the research and development expertise the team has built into a world-class division.

“We love pets. Our passion for pets is why we have millions of square feet of production and new capabilities,” said Scott Salmon, President, Simmons Pet Food. “We are very proud of our network, our capabilities, of our people – why we’re here is to bring the people and pets we love together through food.”

Pet Food Processing magazine is the trusted resource for the news and trends impacting the pet food and pet treat processing industry from ingredients, formulation, operations and food safety. Editor Kimberlie Clyma wrote the story after visiting Emporia in December. During her visit, Kimberlie had the opportunity for a roundtable discussion with Scott Salmon, Derek Baucom, Scott Roberts, Craig Bacon, Leah Lambrakis and Brian Potter. Joey LeMay and Brian Payne led the group on tours of the Flex Plant and the Main Plant.

In addition to this feature story, Leah was also quoted in another article on prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics and how they work to optimize pet digestion.
