Simmons Announces Leadership Transition: Dr. Craig Bacon to Retire, Marcia Reeves Named Senior Vice President of Technical Services
SILOAM SPRINGS, AR, (June 9, 2025) Simmons Foods announced today a significant leadership transition as Dr. Craig Bacon, Senior Vice President of Technical Services, prepares to retire in 2026 after a remarkable career of service and innovation. To continue building on his legacy, Simmons is delighted to welcome Marcia Reeves as the new Senior Vice President of Technical Services.
Dr. Bacon, whose contributions have shaped Simmons’ technical services and beyond, expressed his confidence in Marcia Reeves taking on this role.

Marcia Reeves joins Simmons with a distinguished track record of leadership in research and development, innovation, and technical services across the food industry. Her tenure includes her current role as Vice President of R&D, Innovation, & Regulatory at Pilgrim’s, where she has led strategies that consistently delivered results through increased annual net sales. Her experience spans product development, packaging engineering, regulatory oversight, and innovation marketing. Marcia received her MBA from Colorado State University and holds a degree in Meat Science and a BS in Food Science from Oklahoma State University.
